At only 5 inches the screen is small and a step back from the new Ultra XDi which is a seven-inch Wi-FI tablet with a high-resolution touch screen, 8GB of memory, a front and back mega-pixel cameras and video recorders, a rechargeable lithium ion battery and an on-board MP3 player.
However they all play the same games so if you are looking for a starter tablet or one for little hands then go for the Leappad 3. If you are looking for one for the upper age range of 7 years plus then I would recommend the larger tablet.
You can check out all the game types available by reading my review of the Leappad Ultra where I went into all those details.
As for the Leappad 3 it is a great small tablet with a fast processor and the ability to keep the kids quiet for a few hours. What more do you need?
