New Hasbro Star Wars toys

As a huge Star Wars fan, I am always excited when I get offered the chance to play with some new toys and my last email from Hasbro was no exception. We were invited to test a range of different Star Wars products from the films and the Star Wars Forces of destiny animation series. If you have some Christmas money that you are looking to spend then check out these new Hasbro Star Wars toys.

We love the Blade Builders series of Hasbro Star Wars toys. We have a few of them which means we can mix and match but if you are looking to purchase a stand-alone set then the Star Wars Bladebuilders Path of the Force Lightsaber is a perfect choice. With the chance to choose if you want to belong to the Jedi or the Sith it is the perfect lightsaber to match your mood. When you connect the Sith connector then the lightsaber will be red and when you add the Jedi Connector then the lightsaber will be blue. If neither connectors are attached then the blade will alternate between red and blue lights. The lightsaber requires 3 AAA batteries which are included.

Both of my girls’ think that Rey is awesome and it is so good to see such a strong female character. This Rey of Jakku extendable staff from the Star Wars Forces of Destiny show not only extends but can be used with the Blade Builders sets so you can add a lightsaber on to the end of her staff. My girls both thought that this is pretty cool. It is great to see some Hasbro Star Wars toys that are aimed at girls and are still awesome to play and fight with.

The Interactech Kylo Ren toy from Hasbro is motion activated and produces a variety of different phrases and sounds. In fact, there are over 60 in total which makes it really interesting to play with. There are different phrases and sounds when Kylo Ren wears his mask and his lightsaber lights up. The style of Kylo Ren looks like it is styled on the time in between the Force Awakens and  Last Jedi films as he carries the scar on his face that was given to him in his battle with Rey. When he is not holding his lightsaber and has his helmet on then some of his phrases are from the Force Awakens film His clothes are moulded on and can’t be removed. He has joined hips and shoulders as well as his neck. He requires 2 AA batteries which are included.

As a big Ewok fan, I requested that we receive the Endor Adventure set from the Star Wars Forces of Destiny range. The Endor Adventure set include Leia with two outfits and a small wicket character.

Princess Leia comes with her forest outfit and a brown dress. She also has boots and sandals as well as a bow and arrow, gun belt with a gun and a replica of the helmet that she wore on the speeders in Star Wars Return of the Jedi. The Leia doll stands easily as she is only jointed at the hips. However, her arms are jointed at her wrist, elbow and shoulders. This makes changing her outfits easier but it is still a little bit tricky. Her hands hold the weapons easily and her clothes are really well made which means that this is a great toy for kids to play pretend with.

My favourite part of this set is the small Wicket figure. Wicket comes with a plastic cowl hood and a spear like in the movie. He has jointed hips and shoulders and a soft touch to his hard plastic shell. He has an old-fashioned look to him which makes he feel nostalgic and I like the fact he is in keeping with his heritage rather than being made to look more modern.

We have loved playing with these new Hasbro Star Wars Toys. Let me know which one you think is the best.
