Top holiday tips with Matalan

I love sharing my top tips with my readers, so I was really honoured to be asked to guest post over on the Matalan blog sharing some of my top tips for travelling with kids. Writing about travelling is something that I really enjoy and learning what works and what doesn’t is something I have definitely done the hard way. When you are planning to go away with kids you really do need to think of everything whilst also remembering that plans need to change and you need to be flexible, which is pretty impossible really.

In exchange for writing, I got to choose some items of clothing that I will be taking on my cruise next month including 3 new bikinis and a couple of skirts. I am finally embracing the fact that I am smaller than I have been for many years (although not as small as I would like to be) and I am being a bit braver with what I am wearing. I have ventured away from my standard black top and jeans and opted for bright colours and showing a bit of leg (although they are so white I look like a ghost!). I am looking forward to spending some time sunbathing on the deck of the Carnival Vista reading a book whilst wearing one of my new bikinis which will be the first time I have ever worn one in public!

Anyway, the Matalan blog has loads of really useful articles full of styling tips, what to pack and what clothes suit your figure so I was really happy to be featured there. It isn’t the only place I have been writing recently. You might have seen that I also wrote a piece for the Virgin Trains blog on top things to do in Manchester and I will soon have a piece published on the Canvas Holidays Blog too. It has been all go and with the summer holidays in full swing I will be putting all these holiday tips and tricks into action as we enjoy a summer of fun!
