Top Apps for the Tired Modern Mum

Having the job of mum can be very demanding and sometimes you need a little bit of help to get everything done. Apps are perfect because they’re always there when you need them but don’t add any more clutter to your home. Here are some top apps that certainly make life a little bit easier.

phone-apps

mySupermarket

This supermarket comparison app is a great way to save money. It allows you to compare the prices of different products to see which supermarket is the cheapest. If you forget to check your shopping list before you set off, don’t worry because you can use your phone to scan the barcode of products, so you can check you’re getting the best deal, even when you’re in the store. The app is updated daily so you’ll always be up to date.

Cbeebies

I’m not one for allowing my kids to sit in front of screens day in, day out. However, sometimes needs must. The CBeebies app is the perfect distraction when you’re out and about, it quietens car journeys, allowing you to concentrate and is a great way of preventing the inevitable tantrums as you’re doing the shopping.

Hungryhouse

This is the essential app for when you wish the kid’s bedtimes would come a little bit sooner and cooking just isn’t an option after the day you’ve had. Order yourself a nice meal online and have it delivered right to your doorstep.

 AroundMe

Although not as well-known on the app market, this is a brilliant app for when you’re out and about with the kids. It uses your location to tell you where the nearest amenities are: public toilets, coffee shops, banks, car parks and loads more. Never again will you be wandering around searching for a toilet with the kids or struggling to find a parking space.

SleepBot

Parents of young children will appreciate this genius app for helping to improve your sleep cycle.  When you wake up you can rate the quality of your sleep and comment on how you are feeling. SleepBot can then offer you information and advice on how to get a better-quality sleep based on your statistics, ratings and comments.

Mint

Don’t feel like you have time to keep track of your finances and create budgets? This app will do it all for you with alerts, personalised budgets and even your credit score. Just connect it to your personal bank account and Mint will create budgets that are right for you as well as alerting you to unusual transactions on your accounts.

Headspace

If you find yourself constantly stressed out and overwhelmed with too much to do, then this is the app for you. Headspace encourages you to meditate for 10 minutes a day so you can easily fit it into your schedule. By doing this you’ll reduce your stress levels and feel calmer overall, much more ready to face the day – an essential for any busy mum. This is my favourite out of the whole list of top apps as it is the one that really gives you a time out from your busy life.

With these top apps on your phone then your life should be a lot easier!
