I drove the girls to Blackpool for the first time ever by myself and we headed Nickelodeon Land to copy Poppy and listen to story time. It was Poppy Cat’s first day at Nickelodeon Land and she received a very warm welcome, not only from the children in attendance but also by the sun.
It was such a gorgeous day to visit and because we were there early we seemed to beat all the crowds and didn’t have to really queue until after we had lunch.
The girls had a fantastic time in the Nickelodeon land area enjoying going on rides with The Wonder Pets, Backyardigans, SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer and Diego before getting hungry and heading into the all you can eat pizza and pasta buffet. It cost £32 for 2 adults, 2 children and 4 refillable drinks which was really good value for the quality of food available.
After lunch we decided to explore other areas of Blackpool Pleasure Beach and we went on the train, drove some cars, went on an adventure with Alice in Wonderland and finished with the fabulous Wallace and Gromit ride. The Wallace and Gromit ride was still being built when we last went to Nickelodeon Land on Mothers Day so we were very interested to see what it was all about. Elizabeth grew to love the Wallace and Gromit films whilst she was in hospital so she particularly enjoyed this ride as did I. I wont give too much away but it is not a fast ride but is dark in some places. Think ghost train but not scary. We loved it and will definitely add it to the list of rides we have to go on each time we go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Poppy Cat has joined some fantastic characters in Nickelodeon Land including Dora and Boots, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Rugrats and Spongebob Squarepants.
