Paws Outdoors and our adventures at #Crufts #WeLoveForests

Forestry Commission England launched its new Paws Outdoors campaign at Crufts on Friday 7th March, supported by the Kennel Club, to encourage more owners to take their dog for a day out in the forest. The campaign includes the publication of new local dog-friendly guides which are a great way of finding out some brilliant places to walk your dog whether in your local area or on holiday.

They also have loads of Doggie events happening up and down the country. Have a look at the website for more details

The Forestry Commission also announced England’s first Walk Your Dog Week, which takes place from Monday 28 April to Monday 5 May 2014. The awareness week will encourage dog owners to get into the habit of giving their pets more regular exercise, including time off the leash when appropriate, to improve their health and well-being and reduce dog obesity.
To celebrate the launch of the Paws Outdoors campaign we were given tickets to Crufts on the launch day so Elizabeth and I went along for some Mother Daughter time cooing over all of the dogs.

We saw a dog being groomed by a hoover!

We watched dogs dance

The display golden retrievers were gorgeous.

We had an amazing time and we will definitely go back to Crufts again. We don’t have a dog although Elizabeth would love one so this was a great  treat for her and we saw some fabulous dogs of all shapes and sizes.

If you have a dog then why not enter them to be the face of the paws outdoors campaign?
