Making Me time

As it is a new year and I am looking at small ways to make life more pleasant I have decided that one of the things I am going to do is allow more me time.

Working from home and looking after two kids means that I don’t find time for myself but with my new found passion for exercise I have realised that I need to make time and not find it.

Luckily for me Betfair sent me this fabulous pamper parcel just before Christmas which I am going to use for some special me time. Each Monday evening hubby goes to play football and I am going to use this time to do something for myself. Whether it is relaxing in a nice hot bath with a bath bomb, catching up on vampire diaries with some popcorn or reading a book whilst snuggled in bed with a candle burning, I am going to use those two hours each week to do something for myself.

I think I need to start getting creative about what I can do for my “me time” so that I look forward to it even more.

I am going to buy myself some face packs, some new bath bombs, my favourite smelly candles and download some new books on to my kindle as well as record some of my favourite TV shows. I realised yesterday that Bones will be back on soon and I love watching that.

Just thinking about having a set time each week just for me is making me feel more relaxed already and along with a few other small changes to my life such as being more organised, turning the computer off more and going to bed at a reasonable time I hope it will make for a more relaxed, less stressed and maybe even a less tired, Tired Mummy of Two.

What would you do if you had some “me time”? Why not see if you can fit it into your schedule.
