Life with no wiggle

I can’t believe it has been ten days since Elizabeth had the operation to remove her Hickman line. Those ten days have flown by in a whirlwind of pr events and family fun. Life has been easier the last ten days we have not had to carry around a safety pack or get wiggle flushed at the hospital. We have not had to protect it from getting wet in fact we have been doing just the opposite. We have splashed in the bath, enjoyed a shower and even been swimming.

Elizabeth has played on climbing frames, play fought with Hubby, jumped on trampolines and generally been a normal little girl. All the while I have not had to worry that wiggle might get pulled or damaged.

Life is good at the moment, she has more energy, her hair is growing back and she is heavier than ever. If only the steroid tantrums can stop them everything will be perfect.

and I hope it will continue to be good even when she realises her next dose of chemotherapy will be through a cannula.
