So tomorrow is the last day of 2013 and what a year it has been! I made some New Year promises on the 1st January this year and I think I have achieved them. Ok so I can definitely still improve on some but we did well.
My promises for 2013 were
1) To live each day to its fullest
2) To raise money for the charities that helped us
3) To get fitter
4) To fill up my piggy bank
We have done some amazing things in 2013 we have been on loads of holidays, fabulous days out and brilliant adventures. We have visited Santa in Lapland, Sun bathed in Greece and carved pumpkins in the lakes. We have met Richard Cadell, stayed in the same hotel as Mister Maker and visited the zoo with Tina O’Brian. We have been backstage at Lollibop and Little Fun Fest, played the PS4 at Playfest and Partied at Moshi Monsters Head Quarters. Being a blogger is my life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Being a blogger has brought me some amazing friends who are there for me no matter what. Being a blogger has enabled me to give the girls an amazing year and I already know that 2014 will be even better!
So much has changed in the last twelve months, I held the first ever Blog On Conference which was a huge success, I was a speaker at Britmums Live, I started working with Mark Warner Holidays and Hubby has given up his job to become a blogger over at gamingdaddyoftwo.com, Elizabeth has gone from strength to strength and her treatment is going well and we are in a lot happier place as family.
I raised over £1000 for charity in 2013 including Clic Sargent and Macmillan Cancer care and in 2014 I will once again be raising money for charities close to my heart including When you wish upon a star. I also want to use my blog to help charities to raise awareness too.
So what will my promises be for 2014? Well losing weight is still on the agenda as although I did well for the first part of the year I lost my way and put quite a bit back on. I have another 10K to run in May so will need to do something to increase my fitness levels again anyway.
For 2014 I want to do some even more memorable activities, we already have some brilliant holidays planned and I will do my best to ensure that the girls have another fantastic year. I want to give them some amazing opportunities to see and do some brilliant things.
I also want to remember why I started blogging and put some more effort into making sure that I am blogging for the right reasons. Yes the paid posts are nice and they pay the bills and yes the review opportunities and products are great for my family but you are not hear to read about all the free stuff we get. Remembering to write about all the little things we do and all the memories I want to save is why I started this blog in the first place, I need to make sure I make the time to do that. To help me get back into it I will be taking part in photo 365 which is a photo a day, I am also hoping it helps me to improve my photography skills.
So here is to 2014, let it be an amazing year full of fun and adventures!
