|Did you know that this summer the Lawn Tennis Association’s (LTA) are offering a free tennis lessons programme for kids? The #TennisForKids campaign will help to encourage children to pick up a racket and give tennis a go.
|The LTA have 1000 new tennis coaches across the country who will deliver the 6-week programme during May and June and make it even better each child who attends the courses gets a tennis racket to keep which will enable them to keep practising when the course finishes!
I used to enjoy tennis at school and as I lived down south at the time I even went to Wimbledon on a school trip but it is not a sport that my children have had much involvement in. When we were on holiday with Mark Warner last year they both did a small amount of tennis training as part of the kids club activities and they both said that they enjoyed it so as soon as I heard about these free lessons I knew I had to sign them up.

The great thing about tennis is that it is accessible for everyone. It doesnt cost much for a racket and some balls and even our local park has tennis courts that anyone can access to play on. I love the fact that the LTA are really making an effort to get young kids playing tennis and I cant wait to see my girls at their first lesson.
