Family time at Alton Towers

We have been extremely bus recently with Blog On, hospital visits and weekends away so I decided that we needed  to spend some fun quality time together as a family. Using a fantastic discount code I booked up into the Alton Towers Splash Landings Hotel for a night and used our Merlin passes to access the park.

Our first stop had to be the Charlie and the chocolate factory ride as we are currently reading the book together. We love this ride as it is lots of fun for the younger guests. They really enjoy the glass elevator bit and it is always funny to hear peoples reactions who have not been on it before. We went on all the rides that they were both tall enough to go on (Alison is just under 1.1m) and even went on the runaway mine train twice!
I have to say the thing the girls enjoyed the most about Alton Towers on this visit was the new babies, the goslings.
With the Cbeebies are still closed the amount of rides that the girls could go on was limited but we still had a fantastic time and finished the day of with a trip to the water park.

Cbeebies Land opens this weekend and we cant wait to head down there when the crowds have parted and see all the fabulous newly designed rides.
