Life as a blogger can sometimes be a little bit unusual and I love the unusual. So when I got an email asking me if I wanted to have a Selfie 3D printed in candy it really peaked my interest. In fact there isn’t many things that would get me to leave the house on Black Friday and make my way to a department store but I was really interested in what the Magic Candy Factory had to show me. The Magic Candy Factory print custom designs in vegan, gluten free and dairy free. I arrived to a wonderful Festive Fizz flavoured BlogOn logo which was a wonderful touch.
Magic Candy Factory are in the UK in seven different John Lewis Department stores up and down the country (Oxford Street, Southampton, Cribbs Causeway, High Wycombe, Cambridge, Liverpool and Cheadle) so I headed to my nearest on in Cheadle to meet the owner and founder, Melissa Snover.
The Magic Candy Factory allows you to print your very own customised candies and have a range of items available from giant gummies, baubles and christmas cards. You can even print your own selfie using their fantastic app. You can choose your flavour and even what coating you want on it.
I loved this so much that I decided to create a few Magic Candy Factory Christmas cards for my kids and a few other people who are difficult to buy for. You can personalise the text and add 3D shapes including animals. I created Alison one with a diamond on it like the DanTDM diamond and I created Elizabeth one with a pug on it. There were so many options to choose from and being able to choose the flavours and toppings meant that I could really personalise them.
They also had a range of phrases that were pre-printed which would make the perfect Christmas gift.
One of the things that I really loved about the Magic Candy Factory 3D printing is that when they create your custom design and print it they record a video and email it to you. Check out this video below to show how quickly they managed to print out the BlogOn logo.
