Easter gifts – Thinking outside the basket

Can you believe that it is nearly Easter? The snow on the ground makes it feel more like Christmas than Spring but the shelves in the shops are bursting with chocolate eggs and my kids on a countdown to being able to eat chocolate for Breakfast again. However, I always think that the kids get far too many chocolate eggs from family members so when it comes to Easter gifts I like to think outside of the box, or basket in this case.

Just because I don’t want to get my kids Chocolate eggs for their Easter gifts doesn’t mean that I won’t get them sweets and these Easter themed Haribo items are perfect. The mini bags in the Easter Hunt pack are an ideal replacement for eggs on a traditional hunt and because they are packaged in plastic I will feel more confident about hiding them in the garden without worrying about contamination.

If your kids have more grown-up tastes then these Guylian Seahorses in a rabbit shaped box would make an ideal gift and if you are lucky they might even share. The Guylian rabbit shaped box includes 6 different flavours.

If you are looking for a good mix of chocolate and practicality then this Teletubbies meal set with three small chocolate eggs is the perfect gift. The Teletubbies meal set retails at £5.99 and is available from B&M Retail, The Range, Lewis Home Retail and Blue Whale Gifts.

Easter can be a difficult time if you have allergies and are not allowed normal chocolate but luckily Holland and Barrett have a brilliant selection of chocolates to keep you going. I love this IQ superfood chocolate boxed set which includes 6 delicious sounding chocolate bars that are suitable for vegans and are gluten-free.

If you want to keep the kids busy and yet still have them enjoy chocolate then the Chocolate Lolly Maker from John Adams is a brilliant addition to the Easter holidays. Get them to create Chocolate lollies to give as Easter gifts to friends and family.

A great game for younger family members, Bunny Jump by University Games is a great indoor or outdoor game to get you in the mood for Easter. Pick the carrots and see if the bunny jumps out of its hole.

Carrying on with the bunny theme these super cute comfy kids headphones from Snuggly Rascals make ideal Easter gifts. The headphones are inside a comfortable headband which means that they can listen to their tablets without disturbing you or being uncomfortable with the headphones in their ears.

Molang is a super cute bunny with Piu Piu the chick as its best friend. This soft plush comes in a range of different sizes and is made by Tomy. The large Super Soft Molang is unbelievably squishy and will be loved by anyone who touches it.

We love Bush Baby World and the new Scented Blossoms family adds so much to the range. Each Scented Blossoms Bush Baby has a beautifully scented belly and a lovely floral pattern. We were sent Lili and Elizabeth adores her.

Although the snow is still on the ground it will not be long before spring will be here and we can start growing things in the garden again. In the meantime why not set up one of these cute Unicorn Garden sets by Interplay. You can also get My Fairy Garden sets in a range of styles.

There are so many different things that would make fabulous Easter Gifts and this is just a selection to show you some of the things that we have been sent to share with you.
