From the Marvellous Museum for Roald Dahl fans to the Stick Man trails that have been set up by the Forestry commission around the country, you can find fun places to visit that help to nurture the literature fan inside everyone. When in London we usually travel through Paddington train station and both of my girls love going to visit his statue and have a photo on his bench. It has become a bit of a tradition and I would love to find more treats like this around the country for us to enjoy. I grew up reading the Famous Five books and they are something that I hope both of my girls will enjoy when they get older, and maybe we can visit some of the locations mentioned in the books as well as stop by the Enid Blyton museum.
There really is so much to choose from and I am sure that this map is just scratching the surface of the wonderful literary places that we can visit throughout the UK and with Cottages.com having a huge variety of accommodation available I am sure you could find somewhere lovely to stay close by too.
To enter for your chance to win the Beatrix Potter books fill in the rafflecopter form below and leave me a comment telling me which of the books on the map would most inspire you to travel to that destination. My answer would be Harry Potter. There are so many places with connections to the wizard world of Harry and Hogwarts. I would like to visit both Alnwick Castle and Durham Cathedral to see the locations that they used in the film and obviously we love the WB Studio Tour where we have visited many times of the past few years.
Good Luck!
